Who am I? Where am I from? What is my professional goal? Well, let me tell. Hello, my name is Germaine Gray I was born in Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital on March 2, 1995. I was raised in the East Bronx with an extremely strict west Indian culture with high expectations. I am the second-born son of both Novell who is my Mother and Shawn who is my father. I also have two siblings, a brother who is 10 years old named Marvin and a sister 9-years younger named savanna. Both of my parents were born and raised in Jamaica and came to the united states in their late twenties. I went to a catholic school all my life until college and was a B average student-athlete. When I was young, I thought I knew everything, and I assume I would live the American dream by the age of 25. well, I had a rude awaken and life just had different plans for me after my freshman year at Penn state. The pressure and stress thought of my parents sending me to such an expensive school that they would never tell me we could not afford therefore I drop out of college due to depression and bad grades. At first, I was terrified because school was all I knew and going back home as a failure who gave up such an amazing School. For the first week back, I was planning to run away to the military because that looked like the only option, but an opportunity came 3 months later and I got my first job at panada express, and what an experience that was. I worked open to close Monday-Friday to pay off my school debt and just live life. As time went by, I concluded that that job was not for me and I started job-hopping seeking stability, but I could not find it.  I will not say my life was perfect, but every job taught me something new and help me grow as an induvial. So, I decided to rebuild my story by working extremely hard and use my own money to achieve what I want. I am 25 now with my associate in engineer science and a bunch of certifications, I will not say that I know exactly what I want to do but I plan on work at NASA or another space firm as a Mechanical Engineer where I can challenge myself by developing the next big thing in hopes to make a difference in this world. I also will not limit myself to that Because one thing I learned is that you can achieve anything you want if you put yourself out there. To conclude everything I will use the famous saying “let my action speaks louder than my words” instead of just saying that I am determined, Passionate and a confident person. let me show you as your student in English 201007, where I can also show you that “the pen is mightier than the sword”.
